Covid Officer Required

An extract from the England Hockey guidance below;

"In order to return to playing hockey, all clubs or organisations must have a Covid Officer in place. The Covid Officer is the person who will lead the Covid-19 response in the Return to Play and be the single point of contact for people (internal and external) to refer to. The Covid-19 response is not solely the Covid Officer’s responsibility, as the responsibility should be shared amongst the committee and members. It is the club’s responsibility to appoint and register a Covid Officer, not the individual themself."

Training Starts On Thursday 6th September

For some, it will be 5 months since their last match in March. For others, a week since Summer League v Loughborough last Tuesday. Regardless, training restarts this Thursday!

6pm to 7pm: Under 10s and younger - whether you are new to hockey and fancy trying it out or are a "veteran" of several seasons in our Academy, this is the time slot for you.

7pm to 8pm: Under 12s and 14s - hone your skills in our more advanced session.

8pm to 9.30pm: Under 16s and older. First team squad training led by Jon Barry. Development Squads with Jeff Longden. If you are playing senior hockey on Saturdays, come down to improve.

Derbyshire Player Pathway 2018-19

Message from Sarah Abel (Coordinator for Derbyshire Junior Hockey);

"Please review the attached Derbyshire Player Pathway document for details of the Derbyshire County Coaching for Season 2018-19.

"Based on feedback, we are starting the Development Centre (DC) activity in June and completing it in July to avoid the holiday season and maximise both attendance and opportunity for young players.

Umpiring Course

The Debyshire Hockey Association has arranged for a Level 1 Umpiring Course to be held at Belper Hockey Club on the 17th June 2018.

Please register your interest with Judy at the Derbyshire Hockey Association.

As a club, we need to provide umpires for all home games and that task should not fall on the same people each week.

Help your club AND develop yourself as a player on this course.
