Match Report | Determined to put things right, Derwent started brightly against South Notts but the goals still didn't come. With no clear cut chance being created by either team, a goalless first half seemed likely. Then Steve Langrick self-passed a long corner, ran around the D and scored in the bottom left corner. Derwent played much better in the second half with several short corners won, Miles Smurthwaite converting an initial saved strike from Fred Drabble. As South Notts tired, Adam Orduna played Langrick through to round the Keeper for a third. There was also a first clean sheet of the tournament for Neil English in the Derwent goal. |
