Match Report | With West Bridgford A getting all 3 points as Derwent were drawing against Mansfield, this was now a top-of-the-table clash. After some early pressure from WB (where the goal frame saved more shots than Langrick), Derwent took the lead with a crash ball from Prior being deflected by Smurthwaite into the roof of the net. WB came back with several attacking plays of their own before scoring just on the whistle of half time. As the second half ran out of time, WB won another short corner. Their rising strike was deflected higher into the net by the Derwent defence but still adjudged to have been below the backboard by the Umpires. The unbeaten record is gone and COME BACK NEIL! |
