Match Report | Should have won, should have won, should have won - bugger! One nil up after loads of chances in the first half - Dan Swann unstoppable reverse stick shot. Us looking good. Then a vague feeling of unease as a bizarre series of events unfolded to make Ches Vegas dig their heels in. Firstly, one of theirs being sent off for the rest of the game for pushing Josh. They go to 10. Then on the restart them forgetting that they should be a player down so another goes off - nine. Unfortunately their captain - a really nice bloke by the way - takes himself off and he's the one we're taking the ball off in the defence so they start to look organised and we panic because we're not putting the game to bed. Our structure goes and our players go all 'individualistic' - no width and all down the centre. Dan hits the post it falls to me and I cant get it in the net. And then they get a short. At this point we have not conceeded one goal from open play. They score. We draw. Ouch! |
